We leave Kathmandu after breakfast and travel in a northerly direction. As we travel through Trishuli Bazaar, a bustling market town, we zigzag along the uneven route. After that, we carry on driving down a gravel road until we reach Dhunche, where the walk begins. We get to see breathtaking vistas of the Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Himalayan Ranges as we travel. We arrive at Dhunche for our overnight stay after a long drive. Meals: Every Meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

We begin our walk over a sand-filled highway from Dhunche in the direction of Syabrubesi. We will eventually arrive in the little settlement of Thulo Bharkhu, which marks the beginning of the trekking route. From there, our trail slowly ascends through a grove of oaks and pines in the direction of Barbal. We continue our hike along an uncomplicated, sloping trail that skirts a forest and offers views of the lovely Langtang valley and Ganesh Himal. We shall eventually arrive at the settlement of Thulo Syabru’s ridgetop. The Tamang ethnic community resides in the village. Here at Thulo Syabru, there is a checkpoint for permits. Day 05 Trek from Thulo Syabru to Lama Hotel [2470m/8101ft]

We depart Thulo Syabru after breakfast and take the trail that leads to Langtang (river) Khola. From there, we turn east on the Langtang Khola’s actual left bank and continue our ascent upstream with a few little ascents and descents in the direction of Bamboo. We eventually get toward the suspension bridge crossing. Then, in order to go to Rimche, we will have to cross a few landslide zones and climb a switchback. Our trail ascends a little from Rimche before descending to the settlement of Lama Hotel. Meals: Every Meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

To prevent physical and mental illness at higher elevations, acclimatization is crucial. As a result, we’ll take a day off to recuperate and explore at Kyanjin Gompa. We will embark on an exciting walk to Tsergo-Ri, which is located at 4985 meters and offers breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung and the surrounding high peaks. After the exciting and impressive climb to Tsergo-Ri, we will return to Kyangjin Gompa to unwind. Meals: Every Meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 09 Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Langtang Lirung Base Camp [4600m/15088ft]

We will soon follow an ascending track that takes us to Langtang Lirung Base Camp, a nice camping. Before beginning the main summit ascent, our Sherpa team will rapidly erect the base camp and begin the necessary preparations for erecting additional camps above base camp. Meals: Every Meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 10-31 Climbing Langtang Lirung [7234m/23727ft] and back to Base Camp 22 days climbing toward Mt. Langtang Lirung Tented Camp

For the best acclimatization, we will hike between the camps for many days while engaging in climbing training exercises. Our Sherpa team will carry out all the labor-intensive tasks, including building up new camps at higher elevations, preparing wholesome, sanitary meals, and identifying suitable and secure climbing routes. We will follow the instructions and lead of our experienced climbing specialists once we are fully acclimatized and properly prepared with all the climbing gear. We move towards Langtang Lirung’s top after overcoming several challenging climbing sections and taking the weather into account. We are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Langtang Himalayan Ranges, Pemthang Karpo, Gangchenpo, and Shishapangma, which rise across the border of Tibet, as well as other nearby high peaks as we reach the summit.

Day 32 Trek from Base Camp to Lama Hotel 5-6 hrs Trek Tented Camp

After achieving our goal of reaching Langtang Lirung’s top, we will make a leisurely start and get ready for our return trip. The same track that leads back to Kyangjin Gompa will be used to retrace our journey. We next proceed to go backward by descending along the moraine of the Lirung Glacier. From there, a short hike will take us back to the Lama Hotel, where we will spend the night. Meals: Every Meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 33 Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi 5-6 hrs Trek Lodge

Our trek’s final day features a rather simple downhill section. Our trail travels through a lush forest with rhododendron, oak, and pine trees, various traditional villages, and terraced farmlands. We did the Annapurna Circuit with Unique Path and our trip was amazing! Everything was seamless: all accommodation was booked in advance and we got good rooms along the route; all our transport was on time and we found our driver very safe; and we were told where to be and when. Babu, who organised our trip, thought of everything and was very flexible and professional. We ended up changing our original plan. All our hotels/ flights / transport were adjusted accordingly. Babu also helped organise a tour of Kathmandu for us. On top of that our guide & porter (Ishwor & Ramesh) were great. They were knowledgeable, fun, caring and aware of mountain safety. We had a great time spending 14 days with them and felt like we were in very capable hands! We can’t wait to come back and do a different trek with them and would recommend to any Nepal visitors!
