This trek is ideal for trekkers who wants the challenge themselves of crossing high-altitude passes without the need for technical climbing skills. One of the reasons it being popular among trekkers may be due to passes offering unparalleled views of towering Himalayan peaks with pristine remote valleys located in that region as well.
In this trek, trekkers can enjoy majestic view of Everest (8,848m), the world’s highest mountain, alongside other giants like Cho Oyu (6th highest mountain), Makalu, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. Not only that this trek also provides scenic glimpses of glaciers such as the Ngozumpa Glacier and Khumbu Glacier and paronomic views of Gokyo Valley and the serene Gokyo Lakes.
Beyond its natural wonders, the trek offers an opportunity to immerse in the rich culture and traditions of the Sherpa people, renowned globally for their mountaineering expertise and warm hospitality. From Lukla, the trail goes along the Dudh Koshi River Valley, in which trekkers pass through lush rhododendron and pine forests, cascading waterfalls, and picturesque Sherpa villages like Phakding, Namche Bazaar, and Tengboche.
This trek takes trekkers through the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can encounter various species of flora and fauna, which includes elusive wildlife like the snow leopard, red panda, and Himalayan tahr. The terraced farmlands, swift rivers, and warm smiles of the local Sherpa community create unforgettable memories along the way.
