Chulu East Peak (6584m/21595ft) is one of the most popular Nepal climbing peaks in the Annapurna Region. The Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu Mountain ranges are seen from Chulu East. Which was first climbed by a German Expedition team in 1995. Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, and Tilicho Peaks are the three highest peaks in Nepal. Climbers from Chulu East must trek over 6000 meters through an ice area. Below the summit, there are glacier portions and snow-covered slopes, adding to the challenge. As a result, climbers need to have fundamental climbing skills. As well as a strong understanding of how to use climbing equipment. Prior experience is beneficial, but newcomers and novices can investigate and scale the pinnacle of this challenging peak. Climbing Chulu East Peak also gets us to the Annapurna Massif. The trekking highlights include ascending Marshyangdi Valley, going across Thorung La Pass, and descending the Kali Gandaki.
Technically, the hike begins with a brief tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites before boarding a bus to Besi Shahar (820m). Then it’s on to Bahundada (1310m), Chhame (1430m), Dharapani (1960m), Pisang (3190m), and Manang (3540m) before reaching Chulu East Base Camp (3910m). We’ll acclimate to High Camp before scaling the summit after hiking straight up to Chulu High Camp (4955m).
We return to Manag (3351m) after successfully completing Chulu East (6564m), from there we traverse to Churi Letdar (4200m), Thorang Phedi(4450m), Thorang La Pass(5416m), Muktinath (3710m), Kagbeni (2800m), Marpha (2667m), and finally Kalopani in Lete (2438m). We then continue up to Tatopani (1189m) before arriving at Ghorepani (2855m) to watch the sunrise from Poonhill (3210m). e next walk to Tikhedhunga (1517m) and then drive to Pokhara from Nayapul (1070m) (800m).
